Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring a plus one?
Due to our venue’s limited sizing the wedding is invite only.

Are children welcome?
As much as we love kids, we’ve made the decision to keep the events adults-only.

Where am I staying?
We have spoken with most of you already, but please reach out if you need help finding a room! (Please see email at bottom of page.)

Do I need to rent a car?
Renting a car is highly advisable since Ubers are not available, and taxis are limited.

When do I need to RSVP?
If you know you’d like to attend, an indication would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, formal invitations will be mailed this summer with a RSVP deadline.

What is the weather like in Tuscany in September?
September in Tuscany is usually warm and sunny, with temperatures ranging from 68-86 degrees (20-30 celsius) during the day, and 59-68 degrees (15-20 celsius) at night. We recommend bringing a light layer for cooler evenings.

What’s the dress code for the weekend?
Welcome Party: Examples of dress include a polo and slacks, a summer (floral) dress, or skirt. Please no jeans, shorts, or flip flops.

Rehearsal Dinner: This will be a white party, meaning everyone wears all white! Some ideas for women are white cocktail dresses, or a nice shirt and slacks. For the men, a white polo or Oxford shirt and white pants. Please no shorts or flip flops.

Wedding: Dress code is dressy cocktail attire, meaning long dresses preferred but not required for women, and a suit and tie for the men.

Keep in mind that some events are outdoors, so comfortable footwear for walking on grass or cobblestone paths is recommended. For high heels, thick or block heels are preferable. A light jacket or shawl is also advisable.

Are there any special events planned beyond the wedding day?
Yes! In addition to the ceremony and reception, we have planned a welcome dinner, a Pienza and cheese tasting tour (optional) on Friday, and a rehearsal dinner which everyone is invited to. Please see the schedule and activities pages for more details.

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?
Yes, shuttles will be provided for the Friday activity, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. For the rest of the weekend, we recommend having a car.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you don’t take photos and videos so that everyone can be present in the moment. Don’t worry, our professional photographer will capture everything beautifully!

Will there be vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options?
Yes, we are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions! On the formal invitation to be sent this summer there will be a spot to indicate any specific needs.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
We recommend arriving 30-45 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time to enjoy the venue, have a drink and to find seating.

Will I have phone service?
Tuscany is known for many things, but cell service is not one of them. Please be prepared for it to be spotty at times.

What is the Jubilee, and can you tell me more?
The Jubilee 2025 is a special holy year across Italy, and is celebrated every 25 years. It is a time of spiritual enrichment, and will bring millions of pilgrims to Italy, especially to Rome. Please keep this in mind as you’ll want to make your bookings early, and be aware that Italy will be more crowded than usual!
